Game 1 world series
Dodgers star Shohei Ohtani was just helped off the field by training staff after sliding hard into second on a steal attempt in the bottom of the seventh inning. It appeared to be a left wrist or shoulder injury and is unclear if he’ll be taken out of the game https://wedoweb.org/.
“I was gonna go on-deck in case there was a wild pitch and I needed to help the guy coming home … so I’m sitting there saying, ‘I don’t know why I’m holding my bat,’ and as soon as Freddie hit it, I just launched my bat. It was a fun moment for me.”
Friday’s game was the most-watched Game 1 since Los Angeles’ 3-1 victory over the Houston Astros in 2017 averaged 15.33 million. It also was the most-viewed Friday broadcast on Fox since Game 3 in 2017 (15.68 million).
Game 5 world series 2024
The Dodgers came back against Yankees ace Gerrit Cole and capitalized on several defensive miscues to win Game 5, 7-6, and capture their eighth World Series championship. A Mookie Betts sacrifice fly in the eighth inning at Yankee Stadium Wednesday night ensured the Dodgers would not become the first team to blow a three-games-to-none World Series lead.
Los Angeles closed within 6-4 in a two-run fifth that included Will Smith’s homer off starter Luis Gil and an RBI grounder by Freeman. Despite a sprained right ankle, Freeman beat a relay to avoid an inning-ending double play on what originally was ruled an out but was reversed in a video review.
Treinen had entered the game with two outs in the sixth inning with the Yankees having just taken the lead. After a 1-2-3 seventh by the Dodger reliever, his teammates gave him the lead into the bottom of the eighth.
Giancarlo Stanton popped up to Mookie Betts on Treinen’s first pitch after Roberts’ visit and then Anthony Rizzo struck out on four pitches, ending the inning and leaving the bottom of the order for Buehler and a World Series title.
If you wander over to Baseball Savant’s wild win probability graph for Game 5, you’ll see that the biggest swings in win probability came on Aaron Judge’s first-inning homer and Teoscar Hernández’s tying double in the fifth. That makes sense.
Freddie Freeman has been named World Series MVP. He homered in the first four games of the series, setting a record by homering in six consecutive World Series games dating to 2021. He matched another record by driving in 12 runs, tying 1960 Bobby Richardson for most RBI in a World Series. (Richardson got seven games, and his team lost. Freeman got five.)
Scott pilgrim vs the world game
Prior to release, Scott Pilgrim vs. the World: The Game received nominations for Best Downloadable Game of E3 2010 by both GameSpot. It was nominated for Best Downloadable Game and won Best Adapted Video Game at the 2010 Spike Video Game Awards.
Scott Pilgrim vs. the World: The Game was first announced at San Diego Comic-Con on July 28, 2009. On June 8, 2010, Game Informer presented their first hands on, where it was revealed the game would be a timed exclusive for PlayStation Network, with an Xbox Live Arcade release at a later date. The first trailer for the game was released on June 11, 2010, which showed some of the stages in the game such as inside a club, on a street and noticeably inside a Toronto Transit Commission streetcar. The game makes various references to video games, such as River City Ransom, Mario, Kirby, Mega Man, and Guitar Hero. An early pitch video was revealed on August 11, 2010, which showcased even more retro graphics and direct parodies of classic games.
Time has been surprisingly kind to the Scott Pilgrim franchise (even if Scott remains a dick). The books hold up well, and the movie went from a box-office bomb to a cult classic; Kid Cudi even sampled it on his most recent album. Meanwhile, the game now has a second chance after being doomed to obscurity years ago. If nothing else, at least O’Malley can finally stop answering questions about it.
The game was released in North America on August 10, 2010, being released a day later on August 11, 2010 in PAL regions. The game was highly similar to the more known “Complete Edition” released in 2020. Although being similar, Knives Chau and Wallace Wells were rather DLC, and not included with the game from the start. Knives Chau, and the two modes, Dodge-Ball and Battle Royal were released on November 9th, 2010, to coincide with the movies Blu-Ray and DVD release. 3 years later, on March 12, 2013 on PS3 and March 13, 2013 for Xbox Live Arcade, DLC with Wallace Wells was released. The DLC was scheduled for February 5, 2013, but was delayed. The game was unexpectedly delisted from PSN and Xbox Live Arcade on December 30, 2014, most likely due to either copyright issues, or contract expiration with Oni Press, O’Malley and Ubisoft.
Characters have their own individual move sets, which can be expanded upon by gaining enough experience, and are also able to use weapons and summon Knives to assist them (Each character has a different effect). During co-operative play, certain actions can be performed such as simultaneously taunting to defeat enemies or reviving fallen comrades before they lose a life. Defeating enemies earns coins (stylized Canadian currency) which can be spent on health items or attribute boosts. Players can also enter Subspace areas which act as bonus areas where extra coins can be earned. There are cheat codes that, when entered on the title screen, will unlock different features, including extra game modes Survival Horror and Boss Rush.
